Kimberly Guilfoyle's 'yelling fit' after ex Donald Trump Jr's new engagement... as insiders reveal her nasty texts and derogatory nickname for Bettina Anderson
It's said that little girls dream of the day that they get engaged. But surely few would imagine it could happen at Camp David, the storied presidential retreat tucked in the Maryland mountains.
The sprawling, secluded compound has played host to great events of world history from the signing of the 1978 Camp David Accords to the 2012 G8 Summit and now… the engagement of Donald Trump Jr and Bettina Anderson.
No pictures of the intimate betrothal were released. But a source familiar with the joyful gathering exclusively told the Daily Mail that Don Jr invited 20 close friends to celebrate privately with the discreet couple.
Five thousand miles away in Athens, the news may not have been greeted with such good cheer.
For Guilfoyle, the Daily Mail is told, has appeared upset after the news reached the Mediterranean – and is allegedly spreading hurtful claims about her former lover's betrothed.
'Kim is agitated by Bettina – she has been ill-tempered the past few days,' an Athens embassy source said. 'She yells at meetings. She came late to a Christmas party and barely stayed. Not the usual social butterfly that she usually is.'
Guilfoyle, 56, was previously married to California's governor Gavin Newsom, from 2001-6, and to businessman Eric Villency from 2006-9. Their son Ronan was born in October 2006.
Guilfoyle and Trump Jr, a father of five with his first wife Vanessa, began dating in 2018 and were engaged by December 2020.

In April 2021, according to public records, they bought a $10 million Jupiter, Florida mansion together. The house remains jointly owned – something that Guilfoyle, the Daily Mail is told, speaks about often.
'She talks about the house that she and Don share in Florida,' a Trump family insider said. 'It is an ongoing conversation. They both put in half; it was a 50/50 house.
'There have been conversations about how to sell that house because they figured that it would become a problem if and when they broke up. Turns out it was a valid concern.'
Guilfoyle and Trump Jr called off their engagement in 2024 - and not long after, the president's son was seen on the arm of 39-year-old Anderson, a glamorous Palm Beach socialite whose glossy Instagram page reads: 'I'm just your typical stay at home mom…only I don't do household chores…or have a husband…or have kids..'
Trump Jr has been 'essentially living' at Anderson's Palm Beach townhouse since the beginning of this year, according to Page Six.
Anderson, one of six children born to late Palm Beach financier Harry Loy Anderson and his model wife Inger, describes herself as a model and a philanthropist, who campaigns to protect coral reefs and support children in Haiti. She told Palm Beach Illustrated in 2017 that her hero was Maya Angelou, calling her 'a warrior for equality, tolerance and peace.'
Guilfoyle has allegedly made her displeasure at the new relationship known. A source told People magazine this week that Guilfoyle has 'concern' about her ex's new relationship and warned of red flags attached to Trump Jr's bride-to-be.
'She only wants the best for Don, but she isn't convinced Bettina is well-suited for Don or that what they have is the real deal,' the source told People. 'Kimberly has a hard time seeing the headlines about their relationship because she doesn't believe it's built to last.'
Behind closed doors, Guilfoyle is allegedly making little effort to disguise her bitterness, multiple sources told the Daily Mail.
Guilfoyle, a former assistant district attorney who made the jump into television hosting a Court TV show, demands her friends not refer to Anderson by her name, but instead by a derogatory nickname she has given her, a source close to Guilfoyle said.
Another person, who is a frequent quest at President Trump's Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach, confirmed they too have heard Guilfoyle use the same epithet to describe Anderson.
Additionally, Daily Mail has seen text messages from Guilfoyle confirming her animosity toward Anderson. Another source familiar with the conversations in Greece confirmed that Guilfoyle has made wild allegations about Anderson's lifestyle.

And it is not only Anderson who has allegedly fallen foul of Guilfoyle.
The Ambassador to Greece is also said to be furious at Lara Trump, the glamorous wife of Trump Jr's younger brother Eric, who was appointed head of the RNC - a job Guilfoyle, a former Trump campaign official said, thought belonged to her.
'Kimberly speaks very badly about Lara Trump,' the ex-official said. 'She told me that she was pissed Lara got RNC co-chair over her. So yeah, she doesn't like her.'
'Guilfoyle believed that she was the more natural fit to be selected for the role of RNC co-chair over Lara.'
Reached by the Daily Mail about these allegations, Guilfoyle declined to comment.
While Guilfoyle's appointment was seen in Greece as a sign of the new president's commitment to their country, in DC it was whispered that the motivation was rather different.
'In the US, Kimberly's appointments are widely understood as getting her out of the way - I mean, getting her out of Donald Jr.'s way,' the Athens embassy source said.
The Daily Mail's source close to Guilfoyle said that there were signs of this turmoil from the start, pointing out that when Guilfoyle was sworn in as ambassador in September in a dowdy State Department meeting room by Jennifer Wicks, director of the office of presidential appointments.
By contrast Charles Kushner, father of Trump's son-in-law Jared, was sworn in as ambassador to Paris in the Oval Office - at a ceremony presided over by both Donald Trump and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
As for the newly engaged couple, a source close to Trump Jr and the family told the Daily Mail, 'We've never seen Don Jr happier. They share common interests and do a lot of outdoor activities together and just seem to be having an incredible time.'
