The White Lotus's costume designer has designed a range for H&M - and we can't wait to channel our inner Tanya
There are lots of things that make watching The White Lotus entertaining. Silly jokes about posh people? Tick. Heaps of sex? Tick. Leo Woodall with his top off? He was practically shirtless for his entire season.
All that aside, there’s also some pretty fabulous fashion. Because the characters are all super rich, there’s no expense spared on wardrobe, from Meghann Fahy’s floral Zimmerman dress to Jennifer Coolidge’s bright pink Temperley frock and headscarf. It’s the type of OTT holiday dressing you’d expect of celebrities, royalty, or uber-rich travellers heading to a murderous hotel.
But what if you want to channel Tanya without breaking the bank? Well, H&M has come to your rescue. The fashion giant has teamed up with The White Lotus costume designer Alex Bovaird for a capsule collection that we’re manifesting will be in our suitcase this summer.
According to Bovaird, the aim was to create a ‘cohesive set of garments that captures the essence of the show. The concept of H&M xThe White Lotus collection was to design effortless pieces that can pack down into a suitcase and bring both refinement and frivolity to a vacation arrival, breakfast, beach excursion or dinner.’
‘I want shoppers to feel like a million bucks, like life can take them on an adventure and that they can dress up for the beach or dress down for dinner. Your mood should dictate what you choose to wear.’ Too true, Alex.
You can find a preview of the H&M x The White Lotus collection, which launches on 20th February, below. Here’s hoping your summer holidays are just as sexy (and a little less murder-y) as the hotel guests’.
