Video: Deepal S07 electric SUV arrives in Britain with £40k price tag - is the latest Chinese EV any good?

In case the influx of Chinese EVs into the UK isn't already confusing enough, now there's another entrant: The Deepal S07. Built by Chinese manufacturer Changan, the Deepal S07 is an SUV crossover (what isn't?) and will arrive in the UK by the end of the year. The all-electric vehicle comes with a 160kW motor and has a range of 295 miles on a single charge. Designed in Turin at the brand's European centre, the S07 will be engineered at the Changan's Birmingham R&D base and will be sold through 20 dealerships initially. Prices start at £39,990 which makes it more expensive than rivals including the Kia EV3 (£32,940) and the Skoda Elroq (£31,710).
