She has appeared in several other films, including Snakes on a Plane, Giallo, and Give 'Em Hell, Malone. Pataky was born Elsa Lafuente Medianu in Madrid, Spain, and attended the Universidad CEU San Pablo, where she took acting classes while studying journalism. She is fluent in English, Italian, Portuguese, and French. The star married Australian actor Chris Hemsworth in 2010.
