Love Island star Harriett Blackmore is filmed clashing with girls over Premier League footballer ahead of her villa entrance
Love Island star Harriett Blackmore has been filmed defending an unnamed Premier League footballer after he was accused of allegedly attacking a group of women.
The 24-year-old dancer and personal shopper is one of the 12 singletons who will enter the villa next week but fans have urged ITV to 'do better' with their lineup after the shocking footage emerged.
In the video, which has been widely circulated on social media, Harriett is seen wading in after the woman filming points at a man - who conceals his identity in a cap and hooded coat - and declares: 'You beat up my friends'.
Harriett then appears in frame to say: 'He's a Premier League football player, so please leave him alone.'
As the group of girls respond: 'I don't give a f**k', Harriett responds: 'Well I give a f**k, so leave. Just leave'.

The woman filming is then heard breaking down in tears and claiming: 'He kicked me', while Harriett continues to say: 'He's a Premier League footballer, so leave.'
With stunned onlookers watching on, Harriett continues: 'Why are you filming? Give me your phone', before the mystery man walks over to her and the video cuts out.
The footage was uploaded to X, formerly Twitter, hours after Harriett was unveiled as an Islander, with the caption: 'Love Island, do better.'
MailOnline has contacted a Love Island spokesperson for comment.
Harriett, from Brighton, was announced as one of the new Love Island stars on Monday and already boasted 30,000 followers on Instagram before even stepping foot in the villa.
She frequently shares bikini snaps of herself in sun-soaked locations and counts YouTuber and Strictly Come Dancing star Saffron Barker as one of her best friends, with the pair recently flying out to Dubai together.
Harriett is also pals with former Love Island star Lucinda Strafford, as well as singer Mimi Webb.
Speaking about her famous connections, she said she was 'a bit of an IT girl in Brighton', adding: 'I’ve done personal shopping for the rapper Arrdee and one of my best friends is Saffron Barker the YouTuber.'
Harriett thinks she'll be one to watch, saying she'll be popular with both the boys and girls, as well at viewers at home.
Asked what she'd bring to the villa, she said: 'For the boys, entertainment, a bit of fun and flirting. I’ll definitely up the flirting. For the girls, I’m a really good friend.'
She added: 'I’ll bring the entertainment for everyone in the Villa, whether that’s making the girls laugh or making the boys turn their heads, I’m sure that I’ll bring the drama.'

Ahead of the launch show, Love Island bosses have revealed there will be a never-seen-before twist in the first coupling as the first episode is anticipated to be the most explosive yet.
TV buffs typically saw the islanders enter the glitzy villa and then be coupled up straight away.
Some years have varied: many years, the contestants pick who they would like themselves, and other times, the public has the opportunity to choose their favourite couples.
Now, an ITV boss has confirmed that they are switching it up for season 11 and it is guaranteed to shake up the villa.
Love Island's executive producer Mike Spencer revealed: 'We have changed up day one format too.
'There'll be something very new, it's not a public vote, but it'll be a new way to couple up our Islanders.'
He continued: 'I hope it'll shock the Islanders and I think it will because there will be an element of a new gameplay that will lead to their couples without them knowing it.'
It is believed to be one of many other shake-ups this year. The Hideaway is also set to be different, thanks to a new and saucy 'No invite needed' policy, and they can enter with people they are not coupled up with.
Mike admitted he hoped the change would cause 'chaos' amongst the Islanders as they are 'up for anything' in terms of changes.
