Michael Sheen is said to have signed up for the next Celebrity Traitors, having been an expert in playing 'a string of lying and scheming’ characters'.
The Welsh actor, 57, portrayed former Prince Andrew in the 2024 Amazon Prime Video three-parter A Very Royal Scandal.
So it's no doubt Celebrity Traitors will be a breeze for Michael, thanks to his trusty acting skills.
A source told The Sun: 'Michael has had a lot of practice playing lying, duplicitous and scheming men - the Traitors should be a breeze.
'He is very much seen as a ‘big dog’ signing. Behind the scenes, everyone is hugely excited. Michael is a massive fan of the show so it makes total sense that he would want to be a part of it.
'This year’s show has some incredible names, a real blend of characters, and promises to be incredible.'
A BBC Spokesperson said: 'We aren’t commenting on speculation and details for The Celebrity Traitors series two will be announced in due course.'
Daily Mail has contacted Michael's representatives for comment.
Host Claudia Winkleman revealed on Thursday that the line-up for Celebrity Traitors series two has been secured - and she was left gobsmacked when she saw the names.
The BBC's star-studded spinoff first aired in late 2025, with comedian Alan Carr winning as a Traitor.

Host Claudia Winkleman revealed on Thursday that the line-up for Celebrity Traitors series two has been secured - and she was left gobsmacked when she saw the names
On Wednesday (March 25), Claudia appeared on The One Show to promote her newly launched BBC chat show.
She was asked whether more 'big dogs' were set for Celebrity Traitors, following the big names from series one.
Claudia replied: 'There certainly are.
'The people who make it are extraordinary and they had to repeat the people twice to me because I was like, "Huh, are you joking? Come again". So, we’re incredibly lucky.'
During the conversation, Claudia addressed whether famous faces were lining up to enter the castle - after the success of the first Celebrity Traitors.
She said: 'Yeah, I hope so. We’re so grateful that people want to come and play the game.
'And the people who said yes for series one, I still can’t believe it. I was shaking when you see Stephen Fry walking around the castle and Alan Carr, Ruth Codd, all of these people I was obsessed by.
'I’m very excited. But I can’t say anything else, don’t make eye contact with me.'
Ahead of the official line-up reveal, several names have been linked to take part in the upcoming series.
The Mail on Sunday revealed award-winning actor Stephen Graham is being considered by BBC bosses as a contender to enter the castle.
An insider said: 'They are absolutely desperate to nail down Stephen for the show. He would be their star signing.
'He is one of the most formidable actors of our generation, and the nation adores him, but no one really knows what he's like as a person, so there is a definite hunger among viewers to see what he is like in a more reality-based setting.'
The 52-year-old scored global success last year after co-creating and starring in the Adolescence – the drama that prompted widespread debate about online misogyny, incel culture and the 'manosphere'.
Claudia Winkleman revealed the Celebrity Traitors series two cast has been locked in - and she was surprised by some of the names
The first series of the star-studded spinoff aired in late 2025 - with names like Sir Stephen Fry, Kate Garraway, Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Celia Imrie taking part
Back in January, it was revealed actor Danny Dyer was reportedly set to appear in Celebrity Traitors series two.
The former EastEnders actor, 48, had 'zero interest' in the series before 'changing his tune' after watching the likes of eventual winner Alan Carr take the nation by storm.
A source said: 'Danny was always top of The Celebrity Traitors wish list but had zero interest until seeing the fun and games last autumn. As soon as his tune changed, it was all systems go'.
'Danny is a reality TV booker's dream signing and will be incredible value, as he's naturally funny but in a totally different way to Alan Carr'.
Richard E. Grant, Hugh Bonneville, Angela Scanlon, Joanne McNally, David Mitchell, Steve Pemberton and Liam Gallagher have also all been linked with the series.
However, two previously rumoured names have since denied that they will be taking part.
Gavin and Stacey star Ruth Jones - who played Nessa Jenkins and also co-wrote the beloved sitcom - shot down speculation that she would enter the castle.
Speaking on the Jonathan Ross Show, with Jonathan having appeared in series one, Ruth said: 'There was a big rumour about me doing it as well.
'The thing is I had sort of been asked about doing it and I love the show and I think it's amazing, but then I thought I'll have to put on a wet suit and I'll have to go in one of them lochs, I'll get bitten by the midges. I'd rather sit in my pyjamas and watch everyone else.'
This Morning's Alison Hammond, who first rose to fame as a housemate on Big Brother, also denied her possible involvement.
She also said on the Jonathan Ross Show: 'I can’t do it because I’m doing Bake Off. I think it’s the same time when I’m doing Bake Off, so that’s a definite no.'
