Hoping to win the Taskmaster trophy are Joel Dommett, Amy Gledhill, Kumail Nanjiani, Joanna Page and Armando Iannucci
Speaking previously to Radio Times, Taskmaster creator and co-host Alex Horne gave an insight into what to expect.
He said: 'There is a moment involving Kumail Nanjiani.
'I don't want to give much away, but he gives a lot away about what he does by himself in his hotel room. So that's what you've got to tune in for.'
Alex added: 'He surprised himself by what he revealed, and I was sat next to him, and it's a big moment. It's a never-before-seen Taskmaster moment.'
Furthermore, he also revealed how a particular series 21 contestant ultimately surprised him.
Alex explained of Armando Ianucci: 'He's a comedy legend and a very clever man, you'd think.
'Not on Taskmaster! It turns out Armando is an idiot, which is so nice to [know].
'I found him quite daunting to meet and work with, but within five minutes, you realise he's the same as everyone else. He crumbles under pressure,'
Series 20 saw Ania Magliano, Maisie Adam, Phil Ellis, Reece Shearsmith and Sanjeev Bhaskar take part.
During this run, horrified viewers branded a challenge 'the most disgusting and disturbing thing they've ever seen on TV'.
The bizarre objective that the stars were given was identifying hidden objects behind a wall, using just one of their senses.
They read out: 'Identify Alex's things. You may only use one sense. If you choose hearing, you get five points per item.
'Smell - you get four points, taste is three points, touch is two points, sight is one point.
'The highest total score wins. You have a maximum of 10 minutes. Your time starts as soon as you have decided which sense you will be using.
'I am looking for an adjective and a noun.'
Sanjeev went for hearing, Ania went with smell, Maisie and Reece went with taste, and Phil went with touch.
'Horrified' Taskmaster viewers have branded a series 20 challenge 'the most disgusting and disturbing thing they've ever seen on TV' - and raged that Channel 4 'should have cut it from the episode'
This meant that Maisie and Reece had to put their tongue through a hole in a cardboard wall, and had to put a frozen sock, wet teeth and yogurt in their mouth.
Many went to X, formerly known as Twitter, were shocked that they had to do it.
'Reece and Maisie licking wet human teeth in a bowl is one of the most disgusting things I've ever seen on #Taskmaster - and that's saying something!'
'That task was the most disturbing thing I’ve ever seen #taskmaster.'
'Just watched someone lick a bowl of human teeth. Ah yes taskmaster the silly game show #taskmaster.'
'This is so gross but Reece saying fury hole has me cackling.'
'Gross...
'My god watching Maisie and Reece doing that task was horrifying.'
'I was going to take it back but no... this is STILL the round they should have deleted.'
Maisie, 32, who is now appearing on Last One Laughing series two, emerged as the winner after defeating Ania and Phil in a tie-breaker.
Taskmaster airs on Channel 4 and is available to stream on channel4.com.
