Martin Lewis issued a witty response after Alan Carr took aim at him with a rude joke on Last One Laughing UK series two.

Celebrity Traitors winner Alan, 49, is among ten comics participating in the smash-hit Prime Video series.

The comedy reality TV show, presented by Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty, hit our screens on Prime Video last year.

The synopsis reads: '10 comedians. One rule. Do not laugh. Jimmy Carr has assembled ten of the UK's funniest people in one room and set them the challenge of making each other laugh, without laughing themselves.'

As for series two, the first three episodes, as per the format, have seen the cast trying to make each other crack up - in a bid to improve their own chances in the game.

Speaking to the group, Alan revealed advice that money-saving expert Martin, 53, supposedly gave him.

The comedian said: 'It’s not who you know, it’s who you blow. Martin Lewis the money man told me that.'

Taking to X, Martin has now responded to the remark in a post directed to his social media followers.

He wrote: 'Many people asking me did I see what Alan Carr said about me on Last One Laughing.

'I have indeed, I love the show. And I did indeed tell him that, it’s what made me the man I am today!'

Clarifying further in the comments section, Martin added: '‘For those who don’t know what this is about. Don’t worry.

'It’s an inside joke (quite literally in some respects) for those who watch it.'

Joining Alan in the hilarious show are returning series one winner Bob Mortimer, David Mitchell, Romesh Ranganathan and Mel Giedroyc.

Rounding out the line-up are Diane Morgan, Sam Campbell, Maisie Adam, Amy Gledhill and Gbemisola Ikumelo.

It comes as Last One Laughing viewers 'absolutely lost it' after a Good Morning Britain star made a '10/10' surprise appearance during series two - and the new episodes were hailed 'the funniest thing you'll see this year'.

During the third episode, Good Morning Britain favourite Richard Madeley, 69, made a shock appearance on screen.

The broadcaster joined the GMB team in 2017, but became a regular host of the show in 2021.

Richard usually appears on the morning breakfast show on Thursday, but also appears on other days when needed.

Those who watched the third episode found his stint on the programme absolutely hilarious.

One wrote on Reddit: 'Just started episode 3 and I can't lie, I absolutely lost it when Richard Madeley appeared, 10/10 unexpected.'

'His section was the funniest part out of the 3 eps for me.'

'The Madeley was great.'

'And this show has convinced me Richard Madeley would be fun on a Taskmasters New Year's Treat special.'

Elsewhere, Last One Laughing confirmed it will return for a third series - just hours after the newest episodes dropped on Prime Video.
