Nineties drama This Life is returning to screens 30 years after it sparked furious complaints with hard-hitting storylines.

This Life aired from 1996 until 1997 and followed five young lawyers sharing a house in South London.

The characters did not hold back when it came to casual sex, drug use and excessive alcohol consumption, which caused quite the controversy.

The show starred a young Andrew Lincoln and Jack Davenport, who both later went on to secure huge roles in Hollywood.

This Life sparked complaint letters through the BBC's Points Of Views feedback service when on air.
