Tears and tantrums derail dinner party in explosive first look at Married At First Sight UK's reunion special as return date is finally confirmed - and it's just days away

Channel 4 has just released the teaser trailer for the Married At First Sight UK reunion - and it's safe to say it's going to be 90 minutes of explosive reality television. 

Set to air on Sunday at 9pm, the reunion will bring together the successful and not-so-successful matches after they were brave enough to say 'I do' to a stranger. 

In the trailer, fans are briefly reminded of the marriages themselves before the Channel 4 narrator admits that drama is very much on the menu.  

Teasing the drama to come, Bec, who separated from her husband Bailey just days before the union, says: 'I don't hate him but I hate what he has done to me.' 

An insider told The Sun: 'Last year's Married at First Sight UK may be over, but there's still unfinished business between the experiment's couples.

'In this dramatic, emotional reunion special, familiar faces return for a dinner party at which some celebrate romance, while others are forced to face old tensions.'

While the series itself aired in October of last year, the reunion was filmed in November - six months after filming came to a close. 

The insider continued: 'One husband confronts his ex-wife over a shocking revelation, while a former bride finds herself at the eye of the storm, as she’s pulled into the centre of another couples’ conflict, sparking a fiery showdown.

'Secrets spill and alliances shift in a night that proves truth always finds its way to the table.'

As well as Bec and Bailey, other familiar faces set to appear at the dinner party include brides Nelly and Sarah.

The two grooms, whose marriage initially got off to a very promising start, Davide and Keye, will also be sitting down at the dinner table. 

Following the release of the trailer, fans were quick to share their excitement about the reunion, writing: 'Can't wait to see this!!!!';

News of the reunion comes after Dean, who is also set to appear at the reunion, showed off his amazing three stone weight loss after being body shamed on the show.  

The 31-year-old shot to fame on the programme last year after tying the knot with Sarah, 31, just seconds after meeting down the aisle.

Team building host Dean, from London, appeared smitten with his new wife and was very happy with who he had been paired with, however recruitment consultant Sarah, from Abderdeen, didn't feel the same. 

Sarah made it very clear that there wasn't a sexual spark between them and sparked outrage when she made weight comments about her husband Dean.

After trying to ignite their sexual spark, relationship expert Paul C Brunson tearing into 'rude and disrespectful' Sarah over her 'cruel' comments about her husband, and fans fuming over Sarah 'leading on her husband', the pair left the experiment before the end.

Now taking to Instagram on Wednesday, Dean proudly showcased his impressive weight loss with a before-and-after video.

 He first shared a clip from January 2025, when he weighed 135kg, followed by a video from February this year showing him at 115kg.

In the caption of the video, Dean penned: 'The changes are starting to show.

'Still early in the journey and still work to do, but I'm heading towards that finish line one song at a time with my Juniper by my side.

'Let's keep going,' he concluded.

Dean had a pretty stressful journey during his time on MAFS UK and many fans were left upset over Sarah's comments about his appearance.

During their honeymoon in the Maldives, the pair shared an intimate beachside dinner when, behind the scenes, a producer asked Sarah: 'Is there anything that Dean could do to ever get a sexual spark?'

'Get some tattoos and lose some weight, maybe?' she responded.

The experts then reprimanded Sarah for being 'disrespectful,' by talking about Dean behind his back, leading her to apologise to during the Commitment Ceremony.
