Dick Van Dyke enjoyed an early celebration for his 99th birthday while making an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Thursday.
On the late night talk show, the legendary actor opened up about how he is feeling about turning 99 later this month on December 13.
Van Dyke was also joined by Coldplay frontman Chris Martin on the show to talk about working together on the band's All My Love music video — which is a tribute to the silver screen star's iconic career and was filmed at his home.
Speaking to the TV host Kimmel, Martin shared one of his favorite moments from working with the Mary Poppins star — who has been making jokes about his upcoming major milestone — on the video shoot.
He recalled a 'sweet' moment when Van Dyke's son Barry, 73, was on the set with them and, at one point, had approached to ask: 'Dad, can I turn the pool slide on?'
The musician continued: 'It was so sweet because it was like a son and his dad. 'But they're collectively 176 [years old],' he joked to roaring laughter.

During their appearance on the show, Kimmel said that Van Dyke's age is impressive but also highlighted his kids' ages too.
In addition to Barry, Van Dyke is also father to son Christian, 74, and daughters Stacy, 68, and Carrie, 63.
'I'm old enough to be Joe Biden's father,' Van Dyke quipped at one point about the 82-year-old president.
Van Dyke also showed that his sense of humor is still sharp as ever as he joked about experiencing dementia sometimes.
With a chuckle, he joked: 'Like, right now, I think I'm on the Jimmy Kimmel show.'
'Happens to me to,' Kimmel quipped back before he launched into a story about how he saw Van Dyke earlier that same day and had asked how he was doing.
'Very old,' he recalled the actor — who is married to 53-year-old makeup artist Arlene Silver — telling him.
Last year, he revealed how he celebrated his 98th birthday in a low-key manner with his family.
'I'm not much on traditions, I don't think,' he told People at the time.

He previously spoke about how he celebrated his 98th birthday in a low-key manner with his family. Van Dyke said he finds happiness and gratitude 'every day' of his life and not just on his birthday. 'My wife brings me a cup of coffee in the morning,' he said about his partner Arlene Silver, 53. 'I get it in bed. I get treated like a king around here.'

Back in September at the 2024 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, he won an award in the outstanding variety special category for his 2023 birthday special — Dick Van Dyke 98 Years of Magic.
During his acceptance speech, he reflected on his incredible and illustrious, decades-spanning career.
'I've been in the business 75 years. I can't believe that I'm still here and performing,' he said with a laugh. 'I'm looking for work if anybody has.'
