A student has been arrested and a pellet gun has been seized after an incident at a high school in Sydney's east.
Police rushed to Rose Bay Secondary College just after 1.45pm on Thursday following reports of a teenager with a firearm.
Officers were told a 15-year-old boy fired a pellet at the back of another student with what's been described as a 'BB' gun.
No one was injured during the incident.
The school went into lockdown and students were evacuated onto an oval.
The 15-year-old boy was taken into police custody for further inquiries.
He was transported to Surrey Hills police station for questioning.
