Sydney driver allegedly caught doing 170km/h at Mount Panorama
A teenage driver has been caught by police travelling 110km/h over the speed limit on Mount Panorama while high on drugs.
The male driver from Sydney was allegedly clocked at doing 170km/h on Conrod Straight in an orange Ford Mustang at about 6pm on Saturday, April 13.
While Mount Panorama is known for its high-speed endurance races, it is used as an everyday road most of the time, with a speed limit of 60km/h.
New South Wales Police stopped the driver and subjected him to a drug and alcohol test, which allegedly returned a positive result for cannabis.
He has been charged with speeding and had his licence suspended on the spot.
He will face Bathurst Local Court on May 22.
