Why is it that our everyday skincare, haircare or makeup heroes always seem to run out at the same time? Well, there’s no better time to place one of those big online orders than the present, because the Amazon spring sale is on – and there are thousands of deals to wade through. To make your life easier, I’ve done the hard work for you and listed 15 of my repeat beauty buys that I will be stocking up on this week…
This skin-brightening UV is not only SPF 50+ (yes, you need it even in winter); it’s infused with Vitamin C, a hero ingredient when it comes to securing that clean-girl, glowy complexion. It’s also non-sticky, so perfect for layering under make-up. All that for less than £7.
This K-beauty hero brand is known for its heavy-hitting products, and these pore pads may well be the best of the bunch. After cleansing, give your face a swipe: they help reduce sebum production, and in turn shrink the appearance of enlarged pores and greasiness. Molly-Mae Hague, Hailey Bieber and Alix Earle are all fans.
By far the best drugstore mascara. It has a clever multi-level bristle brush that allows you to separate and coat every lash from root to tip and delivers a lengthening effect. Plus, thanks to its tubing formula, it is easy to remove with just some water and a (reusable) cotton pad.
These cult-favourite face masks contain oligo-hyaluronic acid, a deeply hydrating and moisturising active that penetrates deeper layers of dried out skin. They’re also great for minimising the appearance of pores, while collagen helps smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Don’t worry if your skin’s on the sensitive side: these are hypoallergenic and specially formulated to avoid 19 reaction-causing ingredients.
I have a lot of fine hair, which doesn’t require a lot of attention (or products) but does benefit from a bit of texture to appear fuller and thicker. This shampoo does exactly that – and it smells delicious. I also really rate the hair mask from the Densifique range.
If you’ve been thinking about switching out your pair of tired old straighteners, now is the perfect time to do so. Everyone’s favourite brand ghd is offering 30% off its staple style, perfect for everyday styling on all hair types. Made with new-generation technology and maintaining a 185C temperature sure to offer a glassy finish, they’re still the best around.
I’m a religious double-cleanser at night and this is one of my favourite cleansing balms. It has a rich, butter-like texture that removes dirt, pollution and makeup without stripping my skin. I do find it leaves a slight residue behind, but I don’t mind because that’s when I go in with a second, water-based cleanser.
A more recent addition to my AM skincare routine, this Korean sunscreen has a creamy formula that’s lightweight yet hydrating and supports the skin barrier. It absorbs quickly into the skin and leaves a dewy finish. And it’s fragrance free too.
I’m not an avid self tanner but I add a couple of drops of this Caudalie product to moisturiser at night when I want a healthy glow the next day. It doesn’t transfer (and I can tell because I have white bed linen) and isn’t streaky either.
I know what you’re thinking: why are you spending £29 on hairspray? But it’s the best one. It’s lightweight yet manages to tame my flyaways, smells really good and leaves a pretty shine. I spray it onto a brush and comb it through my hair.
A vitamin C serum can be one of the hardest working products in your skincare lineup, so it’s important to find one you like. This one from Medik8 is formulated with a powerful combo of vitamin C and E to defend against UV damage, pollution and free radicals.
This product is a steadfast favourite of mine, perfect for soothing irritated skin and delivering a moisture boost. It’s made with Panthenol B5 and anti-bacterials which help repair and nourish your skin barrier, and because it’s fragrance free, is fantastic for treating skin concerns from eczema to post-procedure irritation.
Speaking of Medik8 – Crystal Retinal is my all-time favourite vitamin A serum. It comes in different strengths, from 0.01% - 0.24% retinaldehyde, allowing you to slowly build your way up. Apply at night, follow with a moisturiser and always use a sunscreen the next morning after using retinoids.
I don’t use a traditional night cream at night. Instead, I like to apply a barrier that helps to repair and strengthen my skin barrier. I’ve tried many but this one by Korean skincare brand Aestura stands out for its velvety texture and fragrance free formula.
Ready for a glow going into spring? This Isle of Paradise Tanning Water is just the ticket, delivering a natural looking tan and smoothing out skin irregularities thanks to colour corrective actives. It’s also hydrating, containing grapefruit, chia seed and avocado oils, and because it’s transparent, doesn’t stain the bedsheets. Result.
