The rumored secrets behind Kristen Wiig's very youthful face after being branded unrecognizable
Actress Kristen Wiig stunned viewers with her youthful, glowing appearance at the Actor Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday evening - and now, a plastic surgeon is weighing in on the potential secrets behind her new look.
The comedian, 52, appeared in a black silk gown with a cut-out, open back, and exposed side boob for the night, pairing the simple ensemble with a thick gold bracelet.
She wore her brown hair in a dramatic side part in a change from her usual blonde locks - but it was her extremely fresh face that fans just couldn't seem to get over, as she was branded 'unrecognizable' by many on social media.
'I DIDN'T RECOGNIZE KRISTEN WIIG,' one X (formerly Twitter) user wrote.
Another agreed on the platform, 'I did not recognize Kristen Wiig at first. She looks good!'
'I thought that was Sheryl Crow,' someone else commented.
In light makeup with a smoky eye, Wiig looked younger than ever, appearing well-rested and spry - so what's her secret?
According to Oregon-based plastic surgeon Dr. Sean McNally, who analyzed pictures and videos, the Bridesmaids star may have had a few 'tweakments' in recent years, contributing to her stunning glow.

'I don't see evidence of something surgical recently but it very much looks like she had a face and neck lift back in 2018 or so,' Dr. McNally, who has not treated the star, told the Daily Mail.
'Her jawline became more defined about that time, and in photos after that you can see tension lines heading back to her hairline from her neck,' he continued.
The plastic surgeon also suspected that Wiig has had Botox injections.
Botox, or also known as Botulinum Toxin, is a cosmetic injection that works by blocking the nerve signals to the muscles, which prevents movement. It's oftentimes used to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and aging.
'Certainly think she's a consistent Botox user,' Dr. McNally said.
'She would have deepened wrinkles across her forehead by this point if she wasn't.'
Dr. McNally also noticed that Wiig's skin had no hyperpigmentation, which means that she could also be getting laser treatments and facials.
He thinks she could be doing a combination of the two treatments.

'Her lack of hyperpigmentation, known as age spots, suggests that she is using good skin care and is regularly having treatments, like IPL or BBL, to actively combat it,' he said.
The Daily Mail reached out to Wiig's representative for comment.
Wiig appeared at the awards show this weekend as she was nominated for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Comedy Series for her role in Apple TV's Palm Royale.
The award was given in a posthumous honor to Catherine O'Hara, who tragically passed away in January.
The winners are decided upon by active members of the SAG-AFTRA union, and this year, some of the biggest names in Hollywood are nominated across the various categories.
