Today Show's Craig Melvin was left mortified after he accidentally revealed Jenna Bush Hager's secret career pivot live on air.
The co–host, 46, had been discussing the upcoming The Devil Wears Prada 2 film when he let slip that his colleague has a cameo.
During Wednesday's show, Melvin said: 'By the way, you know how I know that movie will be good? You know how I can tell? JBH is in it.'
The camera then panned to an open–mouthed Bush Hager, 44, who said in shock: 'I don't know that you were supposed to drop that bomb.'
An awkward silence fell across Studio 1A until recently returned co–host Savannah Guthrie quipped: 'You cannot tell Craig anything!'
Defending his reveal, Melvin insisted: 'I thought it was common knowledge.'
'Well, no,' Guthrie, 54, responded as she shook her head.
'Cut it out for the other feeds,' Melvin suggested before he went on to apologize. 'Sorry about that, JBH.'
