Modern Family star Ed O'Neill's daughter has clarified her parentage after fan theories about whether she is related to her famous father kicked off online.
The 78-year-old longtime actor recently joined daughter Claire in a hilarious TikTok snippet in which they lip synced the expletive-laden intro to Tupac's 1996 song Hit Em Up.
Claire, who boasts over 183,000 followers on the app, immediately became a trending topic after some fans began to question if she was biracial.
His daughter set the record straight about her racial identity in a comment which read: 'Okay, let me clear things up for everyone: I'm 18 not 28. I am a surrogate baby (I'm not biologically related to my mom)
'I am 25 percent Black because the egg donor is 50 percent. My dad's only been married once.'
In addition to Claire, Ed also shares daughter Sophia with actress wife Catherine Rusoff, 71.
In a previous TikTok post, Claire had once again been forced to clarify that she is mixed race after another user had questioned her decision to wear her hair in cornrows.
'This hair is literally not just our hair is something our ancestors [wore] so you know, it looks beautiful but you can't just use it,' the person wrote in November 2024.

Claire simply replied: 'Hey so um I'm mixed.'
Elsewhere, fans have also been tickled to realize that the actor - who famously starred as Jay Pritchett in all 11 seasons of Modern Family - has a daughter named Claire in real life.
In the popular sitcom, his character was the father of Claire, Mitchell and Joe.
'YOU'RE TELLING ME HE REALLY HAS A CHILD NAMED CLAIRE?!!!!!' one TikTok user wrote, while another stated: 'His real life daughter's name is Claire too? OMGGGGGGGG.'
Ed's family is rarely seen by the public and Claire currently has a low-key social media presence on Instagram and TikTok.
While she doesn't often share updates about her father, the teen has shown that she is more than happy to support him on special occasions.
Last summer, the pair stepped out together for red carpet premiere of the actor's FX series Clipped.
For the special occasion, Claire wore a sleek, black, off-the-shoulder dress and carried a matching clutch.

Weeks before, she also attended the launch of Hulu on Disney Plus with Ed in early April.
Prior to that, they were seen together in public back in 2016 when they attended the launch of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios Hollywood.
While Ed hasn't said much about his small family over the years, back in 2020 he shared a funny story about older daughter Sophia meeting Leonardo DiCaprio.
Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show in at the time, he recalled: 'I said, "I want to go to Rao's for Father's Day."
'And so my older daughter [Sophia], when she found out, freaked out: "It's too far to go — can't it be in Santa Monica where we live?" and that sort of thing. And I said, "No, I like Rao's."'
He continued: 'We had just ordered and she was on her phone. And then I saw her look up and all of a sudden it was like she was stricken.
'I mean, I really thought something was wrong with her. I said, "What's the matter?" and she said (whispering), "Shut up!"'
He recalled: 'And then I turned around and I saw a party coming in, and they sat near us. And it was Leo DiCaprio.
'Now, my daughter has had a crush on Leo since Romeo + Juliet, so she freaked out.'
The Titanic actor eventually greeted Ed and his family, with the Married With Children star introducing Sophia.

'Then we walked outside and she was, like, comatose,' he said about his daughter's star struck reaction to the moment.
Ed tied the knot with wife Catherine in 1986. Though the couple separated in 1989, they eventually reconciled in 1993.
They welcomed Claire in 1996 and then Sophia was born in 1997.
