Ludwig Kaiser reveals reaction to Charlotte Flair claiming he's in her DMs during Tiffany Stratton feud and if he would challenge Gunther after WWE WrestleMania 41

What started as a supporting act for Gunther, Ludwig Kaiser has steadily developed himself as one of the most promising stars in WWE.

The 34-year-old has broken out as one of the solo stars to watch in the company, but those close to him have major WrestleMania matches this weekend.

His partner in the ring, Gunther, will defend his world heavyweight title against Jey Uso on night one while his girlfriend Tiffany Stratton will defend her SmackDown Women's title against Charlotte Flair on night two.

As part of Imperium with Gunther, Kaiser played an important part in the champion's rise and his presentation, so why the split? Mail Sport caught up with Kaiser in Las Vegas. 

'I think it was desperately needed,' Kasier explained. 'A little space to show what I can do; not what I can do, I think that was always known, but walking down with Gunther, we're two different sides of Imperium under the same roof.

 'Gunther does things very different to how I do things so the past year I've had the chance to show what my side of things is and it's so great to see how things have developed in just one year. Something is definitely working.'

WWE loves a story of friends turned foes and that's been a cornerstone of some of the best rivalries for decades.

Could that be a way to elevate Kaiser in the company by having him feud with Gunther? Is there money in those two clashing for the belt?

'It would be one question if there is money down that road - I'm sure there's money down that road! But then again, the other question is, is it worth us both throwing our loyalty away? 

Kaiser has been establishing himself as a solo act on Monday Night Raw

'Where I come from, loyaty means something and I've proven to be loyal to my friends and the world heavyweight champion and I can't see that ending at all,' Kaiser surmised.

Stratton's feud with Flair has got increasingly personal over the past few weeks, culminating in an in-ring promo segment where many felt the ladies crossed the line.

Stratton brought up Flair's recent divorce and The Queen fired back that Kaiser had been 'in my DMs'.

Flair later clarified that wasn't true and she said it in the heat of the moment, but what was Kaiser's reaction as that line was said to millions around the world? 

'I was in Europe actually! There's a big time difference so I woke up to like a million notifications on my phone and had to check it all out,' Kaiser said chucking. 'But I'm so excited for that matchup. I think the last few weeks has really shown what WrestleMania is really all about.

The segment between Flair and Stratton went wildly off-script

'The stakes are high, everybody can't wait to get in there and I know I'm not the only one who is going to be at the edge of my seat before the bell even rings.'

Kaiser also believes that Stratton has grown during this WrestleMania season as she faces the prospect of battling her hero. 

'Being still so young and new to the business but so successful comes with a pressure. You either sink or swim and I'm so proud of her for the last few years, she's always stepped up to the occasion against the odds. That's who she is, she's a hard worker and she's not afraid. 

'I think the last couple of weeks made this so much more interesting. This is her dream opponent and Charlotte Flair is arguably the biggest name ever in professional wrestling when it comes to the women. 

'She's a revolutionary, but we have a new womens scene coming up right now and its The Queen versus the champion of the new generation - I can't wait.'
