Team USA seals historic hockey sweep at Olympics and Paralympics with another win over rival Canada in Milan
The United States is the undisputed capital of the hockey world, thanks to a 6-2 gold-medal victory over rival Canada in the Milan Cortina men's Paralympics on Sunday.
Without any women's sledge hockey in Milan, Team USA is now the first country to sweep the Olympic and Paralympic tournaments following the American men's and women's overtime victories over Canada last month in Milan.
The US has now won six of seven Paralympic hockey tournaments, while American teams have won each of the last 33 Stanley Cups in the NHL.
In a battle dubbed 'Seated Rivalry' by Team USA – a nod to a popular romantic television series about hockey – America's Jack Wallace scored a hat trick en route to his third Paralympic gold medal.
Kayden Beasley, Declan Farmer and Brody Roybal also scored for the US.
With hockey fever still percolating in the US, a number of prominent sports personalities took to social media to celebrate the historic win.

Sledge or sled hockey requires players to be seated on a sled while using a blade in each hand to both move and handle the puck.
The sport was invented in the early 1960s and has been in the Winter Paralympics since 1994.
