Thomas Frank to Crystal Palace? Former Tottenham boss now the favourite with Sky Bet to replace Oliver Glasner

Former Tottenham manager Thomas Frank, who was sacked last week, has emerged as the leading contender to take charge of another Premier League club according to Sky Bet.

At the time of writing, Frank is now a 5/2 favourite with Sky Bet to be the next Crystal Palace boss.

Palace are set to begin their search for a new manager after Oliver Glasner confirmed he will leave the club at the end of the season, with the Austrian saying he is ready for a “new challenge".

Although Frank endured a disappointing spell at Tottenham - recording a 34.2 per cent win rate across 38 matches, the worst of any permanent manager in the club’s history - he still boasts a strong track record of transforming bottom-half sides into consistent top-half contenders.

With that in mind, could Frank be the right fit for a club like Crystal Palace? Or, will his difficult time at Tottenham prove to have lasting repercussions? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, for those anticipating the powers that be at Palace to go in a different direction, previous favourite Jose Bordalas is now a 3/1 second-favourite, while Inigo Perez is third at 9/2.

Lastly, Roberto De Zerbi and Roger Schmidt round out the five favourites in the market, with the pair priced at 6/1 and 7/1 respectively.

Sky Bet favourites to be the next permanent Crystal Palace manager:

Thomas Frank 5/2

Jose Bordalas 3/1

Inigo Perez 9/2

Roberto De Zerbi 6/1

Roger Schmidt 7/1
