They're away at the second time of asking, and Quiryn, one of the favourites, is already champing at the bit, alongside Bass Hunter and It's Only A Game among the early leaders.

Declan Queally and Jack Kennedy have been given a one-day suspension, and Darragh O'Keeffe and Danny Gilligan a two-day suspension, after stewards found that the starter reported that they had not approached the tape at a walk or a jig-jog, prompting a false start.

Queally's complaint about Nico de Boinville on ITV is getting a full enquiry, however, with a statement reading:

An enquiry was held into a complaint received from Mr D Queally regarding an incident at the start. The stewards, having heard the initial evidence from Queally and Nico de Boinville, have adjourned the matter to obtain further evidence.
