Sky Sports have announced to their customers that they can temporarily suspend their subscriptions during the coronavirus pandemic.
The move comes following the vast majority of sporting fixtures and competitions being cancelled or postponed to help reduce the risk of spreading COVID-19.
The action leaves fans with very little to watch on TV with yesterday's announcement seeing Premier League, EFL and FA announce the suspension of domestic football will be extended until April 30 at the earliest.
Subscribers have been searching for the best way to pause their Sky Sports packages which can be done by phoning 0800 151 2747 or via their website here.
Due to the high demand for this service subscribers have been warned to expect a delay using both methods with the online wait significantly shorter than calling Sky by telephone.
Premier League action won't return until at least April 30 but the intention is to finish the season, however long it takes
A Sky statement read: 'Whilst we expect that many of the recently postponed sports events will go ahead, if you wish to pause your Sky Sports subscription in the meantime you will not be charged a fee to do so or be held to any notice period.
'Meanwhile we continue to provide high-quality content across all of our 11 Sky Sports channels.
'We are sorry that you are currently unable to pause your Sky Sports subscription online, however, in light of the circumstances we are working hard to introduce this in the coming days.
'Please check back online from Friday (20 March 2020). In the meantime, please be aware that we have reduced resource in our call centre and we apologise if you are unable to get through to us on the phone.'

If you telephone Sky will match your account to the telephone number if it's linked to your subscription, otherwise it will ask you to type your main landline or mobile phone number which would be linked to your account.
Following this step an automated message asks you your query. Customers who say they wish to cancel their subscription are then asked if they are calling to pause their subscription.
A positive answer results in an automated message saying that your subscription will be on hold until live sport returns to our screens. Confirmation of this brings the call to an end.
