The Brazilian completed his loan switch from the Catalan giants earlier this summer after struggling to break into Ernesto Valverde's starting XI.
Bayern will have the option to make the move permanent for £100m next summer as a part of the loan agreement.
Should the Bundesliga champions decide against signing Coutinho, Barcelona will look to sell on the playmaker elsewhere, according to AS.
Coutinho has two goals and three assists to his name at Bayern after 11 games played.
