Will Frank Ilett get his haircut?

Viral Manchester United fan is one win away from a haircut.

In October 2024, he started growing his hair and pledged only to get it cut when United won five games in a row.

He has stuck to his word so far - and now he's so close to a trim.

United go to West Ham on Tuesday night, quite a favourable game on paper, but for me it feels written in the stars for United to not win that one.

If they do, surely Carrick or a player has to cut his hair!

'Old Trafford is a place transformed'

United may have had a helping hand from 10-man Spurs but Old Trafford is a place transformed under Michael Carrick. There's a mood of celebration and a certain amount of relief flooding through the place.

Thomas Frank: Romero has apologised - and I don't blame him for red card

Thomas Frank has been speaking to TNT Sports:

'I think the first 30 minutes were agood away performance at a difficult place. Then after the red card, I'm very proud of the players for the resilience, staying in the game mentality, and creating at times,' he said.

'We made the three offensive subs then conceded.

'Cristian, there was no intention to do the follow through and make the red. He goes for the ball. Unfortunately the rules make it a red. He apologised to his team-mates in the dressing room.'

Are you speaking about a relegation battle? 'Were just focused on the next game against Newcastle.'

Should Carrick get the job at the end of the season?

It's a shame - or maybe a positive - that we don't have Roy Keane pounding his relentless anti-Carrick opinions on us, because they're becoming more far-fetched with each passing game.

He'll pipe up soon enough, as he should, and it'll be interesting to hear what he has to say.

Carrick said it himself: you can't get overly emotional? But at what point does appointing Carrick beyond the summer become the rational decision?

Four wins from four, free-flowing performances, and they've beat three of the Big Six, including the best two tems in the league this season.

He's not just putting himself in the shop window. He is becoming the shop itself.

Watch: How Fernandes sealed the win

This was an underrated finish from Fernandes. Great cross from Dalot, too.

Why Tottenham really must worry

Still don't believe me about their plight?

Over their last seven games, Tottenham have been in relegation form. Literally.

They've picked up four points in their last seven games, which is good enough for 18th. And that's giving a game in hand to all the other teams bar United!

By the end of this weekend, they may well have spent almost a fifth of the season in the league's worst form.

They've won two of their last 16 in the Premier League.

It's dreadful. And their problems are only stockpiling further.

Tottenham risk relegation

I'm telling you, Tottenham are not safe.

Yes, they're nine points clear of the bottom three. But West Ham go to Burnley this afternoon and stick a decent chance of closing that gap to six points.

Romero is banned, Udogie is injured, and they're at home, where they can't buy a win, on Tuesday. Oh, and that's against Newcastle. Oh, and they host Arsenal after that.

This is not done and dusted.

Man United solidify in fourth

Manchester United are now five points clear of Liverpool in sixth, solidifying their Champions League status.

They're now only three points off Manchester City - a situation none of us would have imagined coming into this season.

Another boost: they've now surpassed last season's woeful total of 42 points.

Bruno Fernandes: Carrick is a great manager

Bruno Fernandes has been speaking to TNT Sports.

'It's incredible. We've had moments where we were not great. Now the energy is different when we win games. We're very happy to give this to the fans,' he said.

'This is football, it changes from one game to another. Michael (Carrick) came with the right idea of giving the player responsibility but freedom also. He's very good with words. I was sure Michael could be a great manager and he is showing it. The staff are very good.'
