Follow Daily Mail Sport's live blog for the latest score, team news and updates as Leeds host Manchester United at Elland Road in the Premier League, with Chris Wheeler and Nathan Salt reporting from the grounds.

Points shared at Elland Road

Well folks, that's that. As far as 1-1 draws go, that was a thriller in my books.

It took some 62 minutes for the deadlock to be broken, but boy was it worth the wait.

Brenden Aaronson opened the scoring after bursting in behind the visiting defence and slotting home past Senne Lammens, before Matheus Cunha levelled for United with a neat finish just three minutes later.

In the dying exchanges, it could have gone either way but, in the end, these fierce rivals have to settle for a point each.

For Leeds, it's a point which leaves them eight points clear of the drop while Ruben Amorim and those at Old Trafford will, I think, be happy to escape the cauldron that is Elland Road with a point of their own.

Thanks very much for sticking with us here at Daily Mail Sport and have a great day.

AMORIM: 'Frustrated with the draw'

Ruben Amorim told TNT Sports after today's draw:

I think we played well. I think we had more control in this game than we showed against Wolves. That is important because it shows how you can prepare for this week with the mistakes that we learned from the last game. We controlled Leeds, on the set pieces, the second balls, they are really quick up front. We controlled it well.
We had our opportunities to win the game. We are losing games on the details - the Leeds goal, we are controlling the game and then one kick of the ball in transition but we managed to get back into the game. Last year it would be completely different. This year we are more in control of the games than we were last year but we are frustrated not to win.

'Martinez was immense'

United deserved at least a point. Thought Lisandro Martinez was absolutely immense. Onto Burnley.

United's unsung hero

Okay, hero might be a bit of a stretch but hear me out. A word for Joshua Zirkzee.

He's been harshly treated this season, at least in my opinion. The Dutchman's made just 12 Premier League appearances, most of those from the bench.

And even when he starts (and scores) he still gets withdrawn.

Zirkzee must've felt hard done-by to have been hooked at half-time against Wolves and then left on the bench today, but he proved his point when he came on and supplied Cunha with a delightful ball for United's leveler.

He may be on the way out of Old Trafford this month, but he can leave with his head held high after today's performance.

CUNHA: 'A good point for United'

United's goal-scorer Matheus Cunha has emerged for an interview with TNT Sports. He said:

After the game against Wolves it was a little bit sad for us. Of course we want to win every single game, and then have a big opportunity to get into the top four.
We need to keep going. After the draw, to come here isn't easy, we know how big this game is for everyone. But it is good to get a point here.
It was so hard. We know what to expect, of course for them they try to do everything to win. It's hard, a lot of physical, but every single game when we wear this shirt we have to give it all, and today was no different.

Leeds edging closer to safety

For a side who many tipped to go down before the start of the season, Leeds now look like they're going to avoid the drop.

Today's draw leaves them eight points clear of eighteenth-placed West Ham United, who they also look a damn-sight better than.

Daniel Farke was written off by more than just supporters before the beginning of this campaign. There was even talk of Leeds replacing a manager who had just got the club promoted.

But this Leeds side are dynamic and have a whole lot of fight. It's seven games unbeaten for the Whites now, who could strengthen further in January.

Daily Mail Sport's MOTM?

I usually don't agree the broadcasters' man of the match but today they gave it to Matheus Cunha, and I have to concur.

The United No 10 gets Daily Mail Sport's award too not just for his goal, but his overall performance.

Cunha was at the centre of everything good about United today and was full of endeavour, tenacity and flair. Oh, and he took his goal well too.

The Brazilian is growing into the red shirt by the game now after a slow start to life in the north-west.

Full time: Leeds 1-1 Man Utd

Take a breath, that's that.

It was a manic last 10 or so minutes with both sides pushing for a winner but, in the end, it finishes 1-1.

That's a better point for Leeds than it is for the Mancunians, of course it is, but I think the Whites could have snatched all three at the end there.

For the Reds, it's one win in four now and not the sort of result which will relieve the pressure building on Ruben Amorim.

Leeds 1-1 Man Utd

I think that's probably it.

Stach brings down a United clearance and, from about 30 yards, sees his chance for glory and unleashes a half-volley.

It's well struck but over the bar. Next to no time left now.

Leeds 1-1 Man Utd

Leeds looking the most likely to find a last gap winner here and the crowd are roaring them on.

The ball finds its way to Nmecha on the left-wing, twice, and he loses it both times.
