Arsenal have activated their option to sign David Raya from Brentford on a four-year contract for £27million.
The Spanish goalkeeper, who was on loan last season, made 41 appearances for the Gunners in all competitions and kept 20 clean sheets.
He won the Premier League golden glove award, with 16 shutouts in the league, to cap off a successful campaign. Once such highlight saw him make two penalties saves in the Champions League last-16 tie against Porto to send his side to the quarter-finals for the first time in 14 years.
The 28-year-old took Aaron Ramsdale's No 1 spot in September and has not looked back. He is currently with Spain at the Euros.
On making his move permanent, Raya said: 'After a year on loan as a Gunner, I can finally say that I'm an Arsenal player for the coming years.
