Caitlin Clark's CHAIR from Big Ten Championship introductions sells for $3,722 at auction as fans clamor to buy a piece of Iowa star's historic season

Iowa may have fallen in the NCAA Championship, but the national commotion surrounding Hawkeyes sensation Caitlin Clark isn't showing any signs of stopping.

A week ahead of the WNBA Draft, where Clark is expected to be picked first by the Indiana Fever, a chair the 22-year-old sat in during the Big Ten basketball tournament has sold at auction for $3,722.

Clark autographs have been one of the most coveted prizes of the 2023-24 basketball season as she surpassed Washington legend Kelsey Plum atop the NCAA's all-time scoring list.

The chair was sold by TheRealest.com, which struck a deal with the tournament to sell the fold-up chairs sued by players. Of course, the website did so without actually naming Clark, who likely would have commanded some NIL money. Instead, the website simply identified Clark by her jersey number.

'2024 TIAA B1G Basketball Tournament player bench folding chair used during the Women's Basketball Tournament,' read the description. 'Chair was sat in by Iowa WBB player #22 during pre-game introductions before the championship game. This chair was also used by the Fighting Illini during the '24 TIAA B1G Mens Basketball Tournament Championship game on March 17th, 2024.'

Another chair used by Clark in the tournament sold for $2,750 after 42 bids.

Clark memorabilia has become a hot commodity wherever she's played this season, as throngs of fans have packed around the court after games to get her autograph.

In January, a Clark basketball card sold at auction for $78,000, while another went for $23,600 last week, according to Cllct.com.

'It's the wildest market I've seen for a female athlete ever,' dealer Rick Probstein told Cllct.com. 'She just has mass appeal and is incredibly likable. To me, she's the female version of Steph Curry. And I've never heard of someone who doesn't like Steph Curry.'

One fan who received Clark's game-worn sneakers earlier this season has received a $10,000 offer for the shoes, which she declined.

'Not even a million dollars,' she said. 'No way. It's a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I would never ever sell them.'
