Colt Gray, the mass shooter who killed two students and two teachers at Apalachee High School, in Winder, Georgia, on Wednesday has been charged with four counts of felony murder, with more charges expected.

Gray is a 14-year-old student who attended Apalachee High School, authorities confirmed.

The high school, which is home to around 1,900 students, is 25 miles west of Athens.

Nine victims were taken to hospitals with gunshot injuries, according to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation.

The shooting was reported at 10.23am - and Gray surrendered to police when he was apprehended.

Police reportedly visited  his home a year before the massacre after the FBI alerted them to a Discord account that referenced the Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting.

Despite the fact Gray is being charged as an adult, the authorities in Georgia have not released a mugshot, and will not confirm any photographs circulating online of the purported shooter.
