Club football has returned!

Tottenham host London rivals West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the early Saturday, Premier League kick-off time slot. Ange Postecoglou’s men are looking to bounce back from their disappointing 3-2 loss they suffered against Brighton just before the international break.

The North London outfit had been on a five-game unbeaten run before the defeat, with pressure once again now on the Australian coach and his side. They face no easy task against their close rivals, after an initial poor start to the season, Julen Lopetegui’s  Hammers will be looking for a statement win against Spurs.

Relive Mail Sport's live coverage below for the live score, team news, latest updates and reaction.

Spurs hammer Irons

Right, it's time for me to shoot off.

This was the perfect way for the Premier League to return. Five goals, a red card, and a comeback.

What else could you of wished for?

Well, if you are a West Ham fan you would have hoped for a miles better second-half performance than that.

They were taken to the cleaners by Tottenham who just ran riot after the break with three goals in eight minutes.

That was only the appetiser, though. We have six more matches to bring to you today. Make sure you follow them with us.

I will see you all there.

Son: 'Being back is a joy'

Son Heung-Min, Tottenham skiper, on TNT Sports:

To be back on the pitch is always a joy, especially when you get the result. Today was fantastic. When we conceded he wasn't very happy, and I was not happy about it (either). But overall he will now be happy and so am I.
In one-on-one situations, I am very on it and when I am on tempo the defender has to make a decision. I made it difficult for him, he lost his balance and I found the perfect timing.
Incredible, I have been missing this support for three weeks. Playing in front of these amazing fans is a huge honour, I want to give them something back.

WATCH: Kudus' minute of madness

Call him Rocky Balboa!

I love reporting on boxing, but I thought I was meant to be covering football today.

If you haven't seen it yet, watch Mohammed Kudus' mean right hook that got him sent off against Tottenham.

Simply idiotic. What was he thinking?

Comeback kings

After the Brighton game, this is not a subheading I expected to write in terms of Tottenham.

Well, here we are.

After coming from behind today, Spurs have now won eight home matches when conceding the first goal since the start of last season.

That's four more than any other side in the Premier League.

Spurs get their shine back

Tottenham really needed that, didn't they?

When they went a goal down I was thinking 'Here we go again', but unlike the Mamma Mia films, they flipped the script.

Three goals in the space of eight minutes completely changed the game, everything they touched turned to goals.

Tottenham truly showed the clinical edge they had been lacking today, and in bucket loads too.

A superb day for them.

FULL-TIME: Tottenham 4-1 West Ham

West Ham's misery is put to an end by the referee.

It's been another wretched day out for the Hammers under Julen Lopetegui, that second half was a shambles.

For Tottenham, though, they return to winning ways and put the demons of Brighton well and truly behind them.

That was one hell of a game.

Tottenham 4-1 West Ham

The 'ole's' are out in full force from the Tottenham fans who are left in the ground.

With every pass made by their side, the hosts make sure they enjoy themselves. I mean, they have had a brilliant day.

Tottenham 4-1 West Ham

This match is just a precession now...

The stadium is silent, you can hear every kick of the ball and every scream with it.

It's just a waiting game until the final whistle now.

13:18

SEVEN added minutes

West Ham will want to get off that pitch as soon as possible, but they have to wait another seven minutes.

I wouldn't be surprised if another major thing happened in that time.

13:16

'Needless from Kudus'

So needless from Kudus and he will now miss West Ham’s next three games. You could take your pick for which incident he got sent off for. A push in the face of Van de Ven and a kick while he was on the floor. Then a push in the face to Sarr too. Completely lost his head.

RED CARD: Tottenham 4-1 West Ham (Kudus)

Mohammed Kudus is gone.

Unsurprisingly, the West Ham wingers yellow card is rescinded and is replaced with a red.

He absolutely lost his rag for a few minutes there, he had to go.

VAR CHECKING RED CARD

This is about to get worse for West Ham.

Andy Madeley has been sent to the screen and that usually only means one thing.

Mohammed Kudus will be sent packing here...
