Joe Biden mocked for VERY unfortunate X post about captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro

Former president Joe Biden’s post on X about President Trump and Nicolas Maduro has come back to haunt him.

In a series of unfortunate events, a social media post in which Biden said Trump 'admired' Venezuela President Maduro is resurfacing.

Back in 2020, Axios interviewed and reported that Trump was open to the idea of meeting with Maduro.

At the time, Trump said to the outlet, 'I would maybe think about that. ... Maduro would like to meet. And I'm never opposed to meetings — you know, rarely opposed to meetings.'

The outlet posted their article on X, and Biden replied to it, writing, 'Trump talks tough on Venezuela, but admires thugs and dictators like Nicolas Maduro.

'As President, I will stand with the Venezuelan people and for democracy.'

Axios also reported that Trump seemingly had second thoughts about his decision to recognize former acting President Juan Guaidó as the leader of Venezuela.

Now Biden’s tweet is sparking an uproar, with many mocking him after Trump sent an elite Delta Force unit after Maduro and his wife on Saturday.

San Diego politician Amy Reichert took to X to reply to Biden’s earlier post, writing, 'This did not age well.'

The post received more than one million views and hundreds of comments, with users taunting Biden over his age.

One user replied to Reichert, writing, 'Nothing about Biden aged well,' while another wrote, 'Joe isn't aging well either.'

Biden's original post even received some recent gibes, with one user writing, 'Oof,' and another, 'Just checking here.'

Another X user replied with the undignified photo of Maduro after his capture that Trump released on Truth Social, writing 'Six years later.'

The humiliating photo showed the Venezuelan president wearing a heavy black plastic eye mask and ear muffs, clad in a gray tracksuit, clutching a plastic water bottle.

An explosion rocks Caracas in the early hours of Saturday morning during the United States raid that led to the capture of President Nicolas Maduro and his wife Cilia

This ill-fated post comes after the left wing leader and his wife were snatched by US soldiers while they slept in their beds.

The operation, which Trump hailed as 'brilliant,' unfolded on Saturday as the Maduros were taken to the USS Iwo Jima assault ship to be transported to New York City.

Trump claimed Maduro and his government have conspired to flood the United States with illegal drugs, and will now face trial in the US on drugs and weapons trafficking charges.

Maduro was previously indicted in 2020, during Trump's first term as president, on charges of importing cocaine into the US.

The couple will face charges, following Trump’s revelation that the US will temporarily govern Venezuela.
