And the XPENG G6 doesn’t come with a big price tag. It starts from £39,990, for which buyers get a wealth of tech, comfort and safety features, as well as those lightning-fast charging times.
Its battery, which is one of the most sustainable on the market due to its advanced cell chemistry, can deliver between 292 and 326 miles of range, depending on the G6 model you choose.
That’s enough to get you from London to Newcastle on a single charge, but with most drivers likely to make a pitstop, in a fast-charging XPENG G6 they could arrive with plenty of range to spare.
The XPENG G6 achieves its segment-leading recharge stats thanks to its 800v architecture and new state-of-the-art Next-Gen 5C 80.8kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, which can deliver charging speeds of up to 451kW.
That is a faster charge speed than the majority of the public charging network is equipped to handle, ensuring the XPENG G6 is future proofed and ready for the next generation of public chargers.
This tech gives you easy, anxiety-free driving and charging, and is coupled with equally smart tech and premium comfort features on the inside.
The rear-view mirror is digital, and comes with a nine-inch camera mirror, making the G6 one of the exciting new cars in the UK to offer this feature.
The front seats are heated and ventilated, keeping you warm in winter and cool in summer, and even the rear seats tilt and recline for extreme comfort.

You can listen to all your favourite music via the 18-speaker panoramic Xopera sound system, and relax in the configurable ambient lighting, or play around on the 15.6-inch floating central infotainment screen, which is paired with a 10.25-inch driver’s instrument display.
And there’s 'Hey XPENG’ full-car voice activation, so you can control all the tech just by speaking - even from the rear seats. Plus, you can fast charge your smartphone, or two of them, on the 50kW wireless charging pads, both of which are ventilated, keeping your phone cool.
This is set within a grey or white nebula-inspired cabin with a wood grain dash, ambient starlight accents, soft touch geometric trim, and suede-effect ceiling material.
Other G6 features that make life easy and save you time include smartphone keyless entry, remote unlocking, pet mode to look after your pooch while you pop into shops, and forward and reverse vehicle summon.
You can get a white or grey interior in the XPENG G6. It comes with a 10.25-inch drive screen and a 15.6-inch infotainment screen
XPENG has kitted the G6 out with XPILOT Assist which gives you 14 active and passive safety systems as standard, including everything from adaptive cruise control to ‘Surrounding Reality’, which spots dynamic targets and road markings, and remote parking assist and blind spot detection.
For keen drivers, the XPENG G6 won’t disappoint and can make daily driving a thrill. The Performance version can do 0 to 62mph in just 4.1 seconds and delivers 481bhp, so expect to have some road-legal fun in the G6 if you want it.
